Alamo Capital Employee Leads Youth Basketball Team to a David Vs Goliath Win
Walnut Creek, CA (PRWEB) March 14, 2014 -- Alamo Capital, a San Francisco Bay Area investment firm, would like to congratulate VP of Investments, Matt Jackson, who coached the 10th-seeded Lincoln High School Mustang varsity basketball team to a monumental win on Wednesday March 12, 2014 over 7th-seeded De La Salle of Concord, CA.
Firm President Bill Mullally says, "Matt has taken the spirit which Alamo Capital embodies out to the streets giving back to the community in ways that make us proud."
Coach Jackson, who resides in the Ingleside community of San Francisco, has coached youth basketball for 10 years and is in his 4th year as varsity coach at Lincoln High. "This win represents the team bouncing back from the brutal triple overtime loss to Mission High in last year's playoffs," said Jackson with a firm smile of overwhelming delight. Jackson added that, "De La Salle is a force to be reckoned with."
The Mustangs are the first team to go undefeated in Academic Athletic Association play in eight seasons, allowing Lincoln to win the league championship. The win over De La Salle catapults the Mustangs into the second round of the playoffs.
