Are the Residents of Illinois' Prepared for Concealed Carry?
Aurora, Illinois (PRWEB) March 18, 2014 -- The instructors at Firearm Training Pros have been working hard at educating individuals on the great responsibility of carrying a concealed firearm. The “Nobody Wins When a Shot is Fired” training has been a big hit! Concealed carry is officially here in Illinois and permits are being issued to residents now.
A common question asked is “Will the required CCW training prepare me to carry effectively and safely?” The honest answer is not so simple. It depends on the skills each individual has prior to CCW training and/or the training invested in afterwards. The costs and required training can make obtaining an Illinois concealed carry permit a daunting task for many. It is expensive, time consuming, unaffordable for many, and limited in scope.
The team at Firearm Training Pros firmly believes that individuals can never have too much training and are dedicated to providing a high level of training as reasonably priced as possible and in some cases for free. The team has also developed a comprehensive online training program that would cost less than $50 a person for the day one portion of the required two days of training. The training incorporates audio, video, knowledge checks, and real world examples. This would offer significant savings to Illinois residents. If approved, a portion of the proceeds is going to be donated to various charities such as Wounded Warriors.
The benefits of online training are many. Some of the most obvious benefits are the training is consistent, measurable, and reproducible. Simply put, you know what people are learning and that content is consistently presented in the same manner to everyone, and documentation confirms the participants understanding. When asked why we developed online training when most people don’t truly understand how it can benefit the residents of Illinois, Patty Walker, a senior instructor is quick to say that “The training that is currently available is not enough for the average user to be adequately prepared. Our online training would provide a consistent information packed day one of training and would allow students to get more hands on training during day two of instructor led training that is critically needed. We have committed ourselves to making our students as proficient as possible by providing things such as reduced prices for concealed carry students, holster training classes, and scenario based safety training. It’s extremely important that everyone understand the associated risks and consequences of carrying and using a concealed firearm. We all have to do our part in keeping everyone safe.”
Online training is nothing new, and offers many benefits to Illinois, so Firearm Training Pros has invited representatives on both sides of the issue to take a close look at this truly beneficial online one day portion of concealed carry training and to consider making it available to Illinois residents, providing a consistent, comprehensive, cost savings, training option. The one day portion of online training will never be available in Illinois unless approved by the State Legislators. Firearm Training Pros is asking any representative or state official as well as the media to take them up on their offer to take a look at the online training and see how it can benefit not only those seeking to carry a concealed firearm and all of the citizens of Illinois. In conjunction with a second day of instructor led hands - on training, this blended learning approach is exceptional.
