New Jersey Wine Festivals Hosts 7th Annual Spring Wine Festival at the Hilton Short Hills, Friday, May 9, 2014: 150+ Wines Plus Contemporary Jazz Live on Stage
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 18, 2014 -- New Jersey Wine Festivals will present their 7th Annual New Jersey Spring Wine Festival at the Hilton Short Hills on Friday, May 9, 2014. The spring wine tasting event includes 150+ wines curated by the experts of the Wine Library, an array of hors d’oeuvres and light fare from the Hilton’s AAA 4-Diamond award-wining chefs, plus artisan food sampling tables. Adding to the festive atmosphere, acclaimed jazz guitarist Matt Marshak and his band will perform throughout the evening.
Tasting tables located throughout the Hilton’s Grand Ballroom, Livingston Room, Garden Foyer, and Patio Pavilion will feature a superb array of quality wines from around the world. Selections include new and old world styles, encompassing classic regions such as Bordeaux and Rioja as well as newer finds from California, New York, Chile, Australia, and more.
”It’s wonderful to be back at the Hilton Short Hills with our seventh spring tasting,” notes S.W. Kimball, founder of New Jersey Wine Festivals. “We look forward to another tremendous selection of wines handpicked by the aficionados of the Wine Library as well as tasty light offerings from the Hilton's culinary team and select artisan food sponsors, plus great live music.”
Musical guest Matt Marshak, a popular artist on the jazz tour circuit (Seabreeze, Rehoboth, Hartford Jazz, Low Country, and the Dubai International Jazz Festival, just this past February) keeps finding new audiences with his new, fresh contemporary jazz sound. New Jersey Wine Festivals producers are pleased to welcome Matt and his band back after the memorable performance that had everyone on their feet dancing at the inaugural New Jersey Winter Wine Festival in 2013.
The popular New Jersey spring event will again showcase and utilize Winevento, the free iPhone and Android app that enables users to conveniently Rate, Favorite, Save & Share wines at participating tasting events. WiFi access will be available for festival attendees to download and use the app, and screens placed in the venue will note users’ top-rated wines in real time.
Sponsors (to date) include: Andegavia Cask Wine, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, John Wm. Macy's CheeseSticks, Cheeky Monkey Foods, Dr. Frank Vinifera Wine Cellars, Jam's by Kim, Kelly & Jones, The Naked Grape Wine, Take Things Personally, Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry, and The Well Dressed Nut.
Standard tickets are $79 (Final 2 Weeks: $89.) Check the festival web site for any limited time Early Bird discounts. An additional charge of $25 per ticket applies to those wishing to attend an exclusive VIP Wine Class at 7:30pm or 8:30pm led by a wine industry professional featuring a special side-by-side tasting of five select wines. For guests looking to enjoy an overnight stay, the Hilton Short Hills is offering a special $159 room rate to festival attendees who call 1-800-HILTONS and mention promo code: SWF.
