A Private Dinner Prepared and Hosted by Chef Todd English is Up for Auction During the 2nd Annual One Night for ONE DROP Event in Honor of World Water Day
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 17, 2014 -- Chef Todd English is once again putting himself on the auction block in the name of charity, but this time he will be joined by his son, and current Vice President of Todd English Enterprises, Oliver English. A dinner for 12 prepared and hosted in the winner’s home by the father and son duo will be up for grabs during the 2nd Annual One Night for ONE DROP celebration that raises funds for the non-profit organization, ONE DROP, which works tirelessly year-round to ensure that water is accessible to every human being on the planet.
A joint effort between Cirque du Soleil and MGM Resorts International to celebrate World Water Day, One Night for ONE DROP will be a unique theatrical experience created and directed by Mukhtar Mukhtar and featuring dynamic performances from artists of the eight Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil productions accompanied by the award-winning supergroup, The Tenors.
As part of the evening’s glittering pre-show reception, guests will be able to take part in an exclusive silent auction of one-of-a-kind items that includes the at-home dinner for 12 with Todd and Oliver English. The celebrity chef and his equally dashing son will be joined by the English culinary team who will craft a multi-sensory, four-course dinner for the lucky winner and his friends. Each course will be presented by Chef English and paired with a vintage specially selected from his personal cellar.
“This year’s One Night for ONE DROP auction is full of delights, including the fantastic Todd English package,” says Jerry Nadal, Senior Vice-President of Cirque du Soleil Resident Shows Division. "The generosity of donors and of those purchasing packages will ensure that ONE DROP is able to continue providing safe water to all, today and forever.”
The festivities including the Pre-Show Reception, Performance and Post-Show Extravaganza will take place throughout the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino’s Aureole, Michael Jackson ONE Theatre and Moorea Beach Club. A regular of the Las Vegas scene, English has two restaurants in the area; Olives at the Bellagio and Todd English P.U.B at Crystals at CityCenter.
“Oliver and I are humbled to be part of such an important event and honored to support MGM Resorts International and Cirque du Soleil,” says Todd English. “We sometimes forget that something we normally take for granted can mean the difference between life and death for so many people around the world. Clean water for all is humanity’s next big challenge and I hope everyone will support ONE DROP by bidding on our dinner!”
One Night for ONE DROP takes place Friday March 21, 2014. The Pre-Show Reception begins at 5:30 at Aureole at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
