Marylebone Cricket Club becomes newest UK Client of ISS 24/7 to use Text Communication, the Incident Management System and Lost & Found Manager
Coral Springs, FL (PRWEB) March 18, 2014 -- Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), owners of the world famous, Lord’s Cricket Ground, recently became the newest UK client of ISS 24/7. MCC will implement Text Communication, the Incident Management System, and the Lost & Found Manager offered by ISS 24/7 at their iconic venue. The Text Communication module provides an instant, discreet two-way communication tool via text between guests, staff & central command. Spectators who have concerns or questions can have these addressed immediately in order to enhance their match day experience. The Incident Management System centralizes all communication for the venue and can be accessed when needed. It offers real-time awareness of all incidents in order to reduce response times. The Lost and Found Manager gives facilities the ability to track and manage lost claims and found items in a way that works to increase return-to-owner rates.
Jeff Cards, MCC’s Ground Superintendent, believes that the three components of the ISS 24/7 system that MCC has purchased will greatly improve the all-round experience for spectators visiting Lord’s in 2014. Jeff went on to say “MCC strives to offer visitors to Lord’s a world-class experience and has been keen to explore ways of providing our spectators with reduced response times to issues that may impact upon the enjoyment of their day. All three services being utilized in 2014 give the Club the opportunity to reduce communication trails, which will ensure our visitors receive prompt attention."
MCC is the world’s most active cricket club, the owner of Lord’s Ground and the guardian of the Laws of the game. Founded in 1787, it issued the first code of Laws in 1788 and moved to its current home at Lord’s in 1814. It remains, in the words of a former President, Plum Warner, “a private club with a public function.”
There are 18,000 Full and 5,000 Associate Members of MCC. Those Members own the Ground and all MCC’s assets (the most famous of which is the Ashes Urn), they govern the Club through various committees, and some 2,000 of them represent MCC on the field of play each year. MCC plays more matches than any other cricket club – around 480 against schools, universities and clubs in the UK, and between 20 and 30 as part of its overseas touring programme which aims to develop cricket abroad.
The Club invests around £2 million in the game each year, funding elite youth cricket in the form of the six MCC Universities and the MCC Young Cricketers, its extensive playing programme, and the promotion of the Laws and Spirit of Cricket.
