The Fine Arts Company Sponsors a Painting Party to Help Raise Funds for Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
Hagerstown, MD (PRWEB) March 18, 2014 -- The Fine Arts Company in Hagerstown, Maryland is proud to be partnering with Mrs. Kris Pearl in her efforts to raise money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. A special day-long event will be held at the store, located at 18031 Garland Groh Boulevard on Saturday, March 29 featuring a Painting Party Marathon and special pricing on specific items.
It is estimated that 12.4% of women born in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives. Last year, Washington DC-area participants in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer raised more than $4.5 million to support local programs serving breast cancer patients and researchers committed to finding a cure. The Fine Arts Company is proud to join the fight this year by offering a Painting Party Marathon – 3 back-to-back sessions of its popular Painting Parties with a special theme and proceeds being donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
The earlier 11am-1:15 pm and 3-5:15 pm sessions are family friendly with children welcome to participate. An evening 7-9:15 pm session is adults only, and participants are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy while they work. Each spot is $55, which includes a donation, refreshments, a 16x20” canvas and all the painting supplies needed, and expert step-by-step instruction by an experienced local artist. Participants will paint their own pink ribbon butterfly paintings to take home at the end of the session, and since the instructors break down the process into simple steps, even the most inexperienced painter can have fun and successfully create his or her own masterpiece.
