Rehabilitation Organization Expands to Grand Rapids, Opens Third Clinic in Michigan
Michigan (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- Generation Care will open its third West Michigan facility in March in Grand Rapids, 4095 Park East Court SE. The Generation Care Performance Center brings talented experts, therapists and specialists to the Grand Rapids community, offering a wide spectrum of physical therapy and rehabilitation programs focused on injury prevention and lifelong wellness. An Open House for the community will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 4 – 7 p.m. at the new office location.
Unique to Generation Care is Inspire 180, an innovative medical fitness program for adults seeking to permanently change their health status using wellness coaching, physical therapy and exercise specialists.
“Inspire 180 is an incredible program for the Grand Rapids community because it serves anyone in need of individualized programming and attention with any type of medical co-morbidity,” said Holly Lookabaugh-Deur, owner and president of Generation Care. “It is also a great fit for someone desiring a program that works within their ‘real’ life’ without equipment and memberships.”
Generation Care Performance Center service offerings include, but are not limited to:
• Running analysis
• Un-weighted training options
• Advanced orthopedics and manual therapy
• Post-concussion treatment programs
• Women’s health programs (post-mastectomy and reconstruction care)
• Wound care
• Vestibular and balance programs for all ages
Orthopedic, post-operative conditions, spine disorders and neurological conditions are also served at the new clinic.
“With the current health care dynamics, consumers deserve the most intensive, individualized, compassionate care more than ever. Consumer choice is paramount in driving down health care costs and improving the quality of care,” commented Lookabaugh-Deur.
Highly specialized care such as treatment of cancer-related fatigue is a clinical and research interest of Lookabaugh-Deur, also board certified in geriatrics. Leonard Van Gelder, DPT, ATC, CSCS and Zach Webster, DPT, both physical therapists at the Grand Rapids location, focus on biomechanics, functional recovery and efficiency of movement.
