B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow) is Revolutionizing Leader Development & Women Business Ownership
New York, New York (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- It’s not unusual to find Tami Evans taking to the stage. The national motivational speaker is regularly hired by national and international corporations to humor and inspire their employees at national trade shows and conventions throughout the country.
But, if you ask Tami where she finds her best audience, she’s likely to say at monthly B.I.G. meetings, where she speaks regularly in front of dozens of entrepreneurial-minded women who are seeking professional fulfillment in their lives.
“Every B.I.G. meeting is like a welcoming hug and while I hope I add some inspiration to the room through my presentations, I personally leave each and every meeting more empowered, inspired and validated than before I walked in the door,” says Evans.
“I think the secret is the culture that exists within B.I.G,” continues Evans. “Every woman in the room is genuinely looking to help each other. It is this giving spirit that allows the women to be vulnerable, tackle obstacles together and help each other move forward professionally in their lives. You can’t help but leave every meeting happier and more fulfilled.”
B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow) has been steadily creating safe and supportive environments since 2009, where women can gain positive peer support, valuable business and professional information and build authentic relationships with other women who share similar life goals. To date, nearly 2,000 suburban women have been participating in this women's networking organization as members of B.I.G. and attending monthly pod meetings in nearly 50 locations throughout the Northeast and Midwest.
B.I.G. offers top quality national speakers, business experts and mentors a platform to share their expertise on a regular basis. The quality and high level educational background of its membership requires B.I.G. to vet a range of speakers and select only those with the best information and a heart felt desire to help women move forward in their lives.
On Friday, April 11, 2014, B.I.G. will bring this supportive community to the women of Manhattan with a kick-off luncheon event as part of its Inspirational Speakers’ Series. The event is being sponsored by New York- based Financial Focus Group (FFG) and will take place at MetLife, Inc. headquartered at 1095 Sixth Avenue in Bryant Park.
“We are thrilled to bring the experience of B.I.G. to the women of New York City,” said B.I.G. Founder and CEO Tara Gilvar. “Women have an innate desire to connect with each other, share their life experiences, both good and bad and offer sincere and relevant insights and wisdom with each other. At B.I.G., we provide safe and supportive environments where these validating and productive relationships can begin. At each and every one of our 50 monthly meetings, we witness how the B.I.G. culture helps professional women at all stages in their lives acquire more confidence, make more connections and can help women move forward toward their personal and professional goals more quickly.
“The lightning pace of Manhattan can often create a highly competitive and cold environment for women seeking true fulfillment in their lives,” says FFG’s Veronica Cabezas. “We are very confident that professional and entrepreneurial New York women will find the B.I.G. experience to be a welcome relief and will fully embrace this positive and supportive culture as a new way to pursue their professional goals. We are excited to be at the forefront of this great opportunity."
Evans will be a featured speaker at the B.I.G. NYC Kick-Off luncheon event and will focus on the “Power of Gratitude” in achieving professional goals. Also joining the event will be Katherine Dickson, an ordinary woman who will share her extraordinary story about how gratitude led her past a debilitating brain injury that put her in coma for over a year and ultimately brought her to Broadway, where she is now embarking on an extraordinary career.
Following the April 11th event, participating women will have the opportunity to become members of the B.I.G. organization and attend monthly “pod” meetings being established in communities throughout Manhattan, as well as attend additional Speaker Series Luncheons being scheduled at MetLife Headquarters throughout the year.
B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow) offers a safe and supportive gateway for women at all stages in their professional journey, even those who are not currently active in the workplace, to explore their true passions, discover their life’s purpose and gain the confidence and information they need to move their life goals forward.
