New Scholarship Offered By Loyola University New Orleans Online Allows Alumni To Bestow A $1,000 Scholarship To Friends, Peers And Family Members
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- Loyola University New Orleans announced it is now offering a new scholarship that allows alumni to bestow friends, peers and family members $1,000 toward an eligible online graduate program. The Loyola University New Orleans Online Legacy Scholarship will be awarded to 50 alumni-nominated candidates who apply, are accepted and enroll in the Summer 2014 term.
“Our alumni are an integral part of who we are as an institution,” says Mary Oriol, Dr.PH., R.N., interim director of Loyola’s School of Nursing. “Our students don’t just leave, never looking back. Part of the Loyola University New Orleans’ education experience and Jesuit mission, includes developing our students to lead meaningful lives that have global impact. That mission includes sharing their knowledge and acting as mentors in their communities in addition to taking leadership in their professional roles. This scholarship is part of carrying that torch and becoming a beacon for others to follow.”
Alumni of Loyola’s online programs may nominate a potential student(s) in his or her name through an online form at http://elearning.loyno.edu/contact/apply-online.asp or by speaking with an online program manager at 866-789-9809.
Eligible programs include:
• BLEND Program (Bridge to Leadership Education for Nurses at a Distance)
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization in Health Care Systems Management
• Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration
• Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration with specialization in Justice Administration
• Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration with specialization in Forensic Science Administration
All Online Legacy Scholarship recipients must apply for admission and be accepted to Loyola. Current online students are not eligible for the scholarship at this time. Applications for the Summer 2014 term are now being accepted at http://elearning.loyno.edu/contact/apply-online.asp.
