John Kirst Joins Sequent as Chief Revenue Officer
Mountain View, California (PRWEB) March 18, 2014 -- Sequent Software, a leading provider of open platform-as-a-service solutions for secure mobile commerce, is pleased to announce that John Kirst has joined the company as its new Chief Revenue Officer. A Silicon Valley startup veteran with early stage, acquisition and IPO experience, John is responsible for global sales, business development and customer success at Sequent.
John served most recently as SVP of Global Field Operations for Threatmetrix where he was responsible for sales, business development, services and customer success. While there, John directed Threatmetrix’s efforts to bring cloud-based fraud-detection and prevention security to banks, retailers and payment processors.
Prior to Threatmetrix, John held various executive positions with TuVox—which was acquired by West Corporation—and Edify, which built the first platform for internet banking applications, and was later acquired by S1 Corporation.
“Enabling popular consumer mobile apps to perform secure mobile wallet transactions is one of today’s top mobile-commerce challenges,” commented Kirst. “With its strong innovation and security credentials, Sequent is uniquely positioned to drive this change and help banks, mobile operators, merchants and access control providers bring compelling mobile commerce experiences to their consumers.”
“John’s joining Sequent further strengthens our team of executives and experts in innovation for highly secure industries,” said Robb Duffield, CEO of Sequent. “His experience selling breakthrough technology products and his proven ability to drive global sales and ensure customer satisfaction are crucial parts of Sequent’s commitment to the success of our financial, telecommunication and retail partners.”
Kirst holds an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business.
