From Broadway To Family Law Court
Beverly Hills, California (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- After leaving a career as a Eurodollar broker on Wall Street, Michael Maguire had an illustrious career on Broadway where he earned many accolades including the Tony Award for his portrayal of Enjolras, the leader of a student revolution, in the original Broadway production of "Les Miserables".
Early in his life Michael had considered a law career but felt he had an obligation to share his vocal talents with the world which he did on Broadway and in performing with over 300 Symphony orchestras around the world.
After experiencing his own difficult and highly contested divorce, Michael renewed his keen interest in the law choosing to focus his practice on family law. Compassionate whenever possible but tough whenever necessary, Michael brings a unique perspective to the practice of family law and Los Angeles where he has an understanding of finances and the human condition that is without parallel. As Michael said in an interview with the Super Lawyer Magazine (July, 2013), his "mission" is to guide others through their family law difficulties in the way that best helps them preserve their assets and their sanity.
Michael received his law degree from Southwestern Law School, Los Angeles in 2008, after graduating from the highly acclaimed two year accelerated SCALE J.D. program. He then worked as a clerk in the Los Angeles Superior Court for Judges Michael I. Levattnas, Mark A Juhas, and now Supervising Judge Scott Gordon. Michael has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyer Magazine for 2011, 2012, and 2013. He was also recently named an adjunct professor at Southwestern Law School where he will lecture on the many facets of California family law.
Prior to forming his own firm Michael was an associate with the family law firm Kalodny & Anteau, working on high-conflict cases involving child custody disputes, multi-million dollar community property estates, paternity and palimony actions, and many other types of family law litigation,Michael was and is highly regarded for ability to think "outside the box" in order to craft unique solutions to challenging family law situations.
