We love the AOTA conference. Pediatric OTs are so creative and always have new and great ideas to keep the kids engaged.

Baltimore (PRWEB) March 25, 2014

PediaStaff, a nationwide staffing company that focuses on the placement of pediatric and school-based clinicians, will once again be sharing career opportunities and useful tools at The American Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA) 94th Annual Conference & Expo. This year’s conference will be held from April 3-6 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

The AOTA conference is a premier event for Occupational Therapists (OTs) with more than 900 educational sessions, which attendees can choose from with AOTA’s new Conference App. More than 6,000 attendees are expected to attend, making this a great event for OTs to network and share ideas.

“We love the AOTA conference,” said PediaStaff Partner Heidi Kay. “Pediatric OTs are so creative and always have new and great ideas to keep the kids engaged.”

PediaStaff’s giveaway for the conference will help OTs continue to engage their students. The company will be handing out PediaStaff OT Thumballs, which were created exclusively in a joint effort between Answers in Motion and PediaStaff solely for the AOTA 2014 conference. Basically a smaller version of a soccer ball, each panel features a word or phrase, graphic, or photo. When someone catches the ball, they are supposed to do or discuss whatever is under their right thumb. These balls can stimulate conversation, improve social interactions, develop communication skills, and more.

“This year’s giveaway really captures that sense of ‘fun with function,’” Kay said. “That’s why we think these exclusive OT Thumballs will be a hit. It’s important to note that you cannot buy these balls at any store or online. The PediaStaff booth at AOTA is the ONLY place you will be able to get one of these terrific therapy toys, and we have a limited supply that we are sure will go fast!”

PediaStaff will be stationed at booth #837, where their recruiters will be discussing career opportunities with the attendees. PediaStaff places OTs nationwide in both direct and contract positions in a variety of settings, including school systems, hospitals, clinics, and home health. PediaStaff places its contractors through the back-office services of Top Echelon Contracting (TEC). As their legal employer, TEC gives the contract therapists access to Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation coverage, a weekly paycheck with the option of direct deposit, and a full menu of benefits, including healthcare coverage through Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield that is compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Established in 2004, PediaStaff also places pediatric speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and school psychologists. In addition, they are known for their social media presence, which includes extensive Twitter and Pinterest profiles.
