Cornerstone University Hosts Author Christopher Yuan, Whose Life Journey Took Him from a Drug Dealing, HIV Positive Homosexual to a Bible Professor
Grand Rapids, Michigan (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- Christopher Yuan, best-selling author and national speaker on the topic of homosexuality and Christianity, is scheduled to be the featured speaker at three events at Cornerstone University. All events are open to the community.
Yuan will speak in chapel at 10 a.m. March 19 and 21. He will also hold an open forum and Q. and A. on March 20 in the Hansen Athletic Center and give a private lecture for CU student leaders.
"As an intentionally Christian campus, we are committed to reflect the heart of Christ in all that we do, including the ways that we lovingly relate to one another and to others in our community. Christopher Yuan has been a wonderful resource for us, encouraging us to compassion and clarity as we approach the challenging topics related to sexuality," said Gerald Longjohn, Jr., Ed.D., vice president of Spiritual Formation at CU.
Yuan’s personal testimony about being a promiscuous homosexual, experimenting with illicit drugs, being expelled from dental school, spending time in jail and finding out he was HIV positive is only the beginning.
He will share what gave him hope and how he found it.
On March 20 at 7 p.m., he will discuss how Christians should respond to homosexuality and more importantly to those in the LGBT community followed by a question and answer session.
The next day, in chapel at the Hansen Athletic Center, he will discuss how to run the race explaining how a Christian can remain faithful and obedient to God while dealing with homosexual feelings or other temptations/addictions.
