Frontier Airlines Board Appoints Two New Outside Board Members
Denver, Colo. (PRWEB) March 18, 2014 -- Frontier Airlines, a privately held company, today announced the appointment of Robert J. Genise and Bernard L. Han as new independent board members.
“We are pleased to have two such qualified individuals as our first independent, outside directors. Each brings extensive aviation, finance and private equity experience to the Board,” said Chairman of the Board, William A. Franke.
Mr. Genise has an extensive and distinguished career in the banking, finance and commercial aircraft leasing businesses.
After an initial career in asset-based and structured finance at Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) in New York, Mr. Genise served in London as Managing Director of the Special Finance Group, providing finance to the International Airline industry.
Subsequently, he returned to the U.S. where he partnered in the establishment of Boullioun Aviation Services, which grew into one of the largest commercial aircraft leasing companies until its sale in 2005.
Mr. Genise was also instrumental in the creation of the aircraft and operating lease business for Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise and also Dubai Aerospace, a Government of Dubai-owned company.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of PCA Aerospace and CEO of Aergen, LLC, a consulting company to BAE Systems. He has a BA in Physics from New York University, an MBA from University of Connecticut and a JD degree from Pace University School of Law.
Mr. Han is a versatile executive with proven success in various senior executive roles in both growth and turn-around environments with both public and private companies.

Prior to Dish, Mr. Han spent seventeen years in the airline industry, serving in finance, sales and marketing positions before becoming CFO of both Northwest Airlines and America West Airlines. He was a key player in achieving the financial stability of AWA and in restructuring $4 billion of debt at Northwest in the post-9/11 environment. He has a BS and MS in Engineering, and MBA from Cornell University.
“We are certain Bernie and Bob will help us lead Frontier Airlines to an exciting, customer friendly and profitable ultra-low cost airline,” said David Siegel, CEO, Frontier Airlines.
