Nielsen-Kellerman Offers Equipment Grants to Athletes and Programs Striving to Reach Their Rowing Performance Goals
BOOTHWYN, PA (PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- Nielsen-Kellerman (NK) has opened its grant application program for the seventh consecutive year. Each year, NK receives hundreds of requests for product donations to support athletes and rowing programs that are in need of performance monitoring equipment to help bring their skills to the next level. In response, the leader in sports performance electronics has initiated grant programs as a way to support the rowing and paddling community. NK will be issuing $7500 worth of equipment to athletes and programs in need. Submissions will be evaluated based on goals, training, how NK's equipment will help and barriers to making the purchase.
This year, NK has increased the number of available program grants to support a total of 10 rowing programs eligible to receive a $500 grant toward NK products. In addition, NK will be issuing 10 grants for $250 in product credit for athletes.
Athletes and coaches can visit NKhome.com to fill out a grant application. Athlete grant recipients will be chosen by NK and announced the first week of April. For program grants, NK will select the top 20 program grant applications and open them up to a public voting poll where programs can organize support from fellow athletes, friends and family. Voting for the program grants will begin in early April on NK’s Facebook page, so stayed tuned to Nielsen-Kellerman Sports Performance Electronics. The 10 programs with the most “likes” will each receive a $500 grant to be used toward the purchase of NK products. NK will accept applications until Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:59 PM EST.
