San Francisco, California (PRWEB) March 20, 2014
The Law Office of Daniel H. Rose is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of San Francisco’s Walk To Work Day, April 11, 2014. The purpose of this annual event, organized by Walk San Francisco, is to encourage and celebrate the most healthy and sustainable form of transportation: walking. Those who live or work in San Francisco are encouraged to walk for at least 15 minutes of their commute, and employer tool kits are available to encourage employees to participate and make walking a regular and large part of their commute. At last year’s event, Mayor Ed Lee and nine of the City’s eleven District Supervisors joined Walk SF and over 2,100 San Franciscans to celebrate Walk to Work Day at one of five ‘hubs’ across the city. For all of San Francisco that morning, pedestrian traffic increased 20% compared to the prior month.
Walk San Francisco is San Francisco’s pedestrian advocacy group. Walk SF and its members are making San Francisco a more livable, walkable city and reclaiming our streets as shared public space for everyone to enjoy. Walk SF, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and a diverse coalition of community groups are calling for the City to commit to a Vision Zero policy to eliminate traffic deaths in San Francisco in the next 10 years.
