After losing my school district job June 2011, I needed another way to help fund my kid's education.
Ventura, CA (PRWEB) March 19, 2014
As Ms. Volk explained, “One hot summer day in July 2000, I added lavender to the lemonade my three kids were selling from their lemonade stand in the driveway of our home in Ojai, California, and it was an instant hit! After losing my school district job June 2011, I needed another way to help fund my kid's education."
Volk started bottling her organic lemonade under the name Lori's Original Lemonade (LOL) and by February 2012 had bottles on the shelves of local markets. By the first quarter of 2014, her business was experiencing dramatic growth of over 200% over the previous year, with people using the product both as a beverage and as a mixer with juices and alcoholic drinks.
Lori's Original Lemonade can now be found in more than 200 locations, including specialty and natural foods markets in Ojai, Whole Foods, Lassens, Lazy Acres, Bristol Farms, Erewhon Natural Foods and numerous cafes and restaurants in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. With the addition of two new Southern California distributors, LOL is planning further expansion of their popular beverage.
