As part of the tour, KISS and Def Leppard will travel to many of the biggest venues in the United States and Canada. The opening show will be held at the USANA Amphitheater and then they will take off to the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO; The Forum in Los Angeles, CA; PNC Music Pavilion in Raleigh, NC; Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ; Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON, Canada; BOK Center in Tulsa, OK; before ending at the The Woodlands Pavilion. This will mark the first time these two groups shared the bill on a tour, but they have formed a lasting friendship over the course of their careers.
KISS first formed in New York City in 1973 and is known as much for their music as they are their trademarked black and white face paint. The group is also known for their flamboyant on-stage personas and vocalist Gene Simmons’ super-long tongue. When it comes to record sales, KISS has had their share of millions with more than 40 million records sold in the U.S. alone and more than 100 million overall around the world. Their best album was the 1976 release Destroyer, which has sold more than two million copies in the U.S. and charted in numerous countries around the world. Among their most notable singles that they will likely play this summer include “Rock and Roll All Nite,” “Shout It Out Loud,” “Calling Dr. Love,” and “Heaven’s on Fire.”
Formed in 1977 in Sheffield, England, Def Leppard has turned into one of the best selling groups of all time. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide including two albums in the U.S. that have been certified platinum in the States by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 10 million copies. Only four other groups can say they have reached this accolade. Among their most notable singles that will be played on this tour include “Animal,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Love Bites,” “Rocket,” “Let’s Get Rocked,” and “When Love & Hate Collide.”
When a music fan attends a KISS concert, they are witnessing geniuses at work, as they have always done the unordinary during their performances including fire breathing, shooting rockets, blood spitting and more. They are about giving the fans a good show and ensure no fan leaves their show upset. With Def Leppard, fans know they are getting rock greatness in front of them on that stage and the English group enjoys being there.
