EmLogis to Offer Live Webinar on Understanding and Reducing Complacency in Jails and Correctional Facilities
(PRWEB) March 19, 2014 -- EmLogis, a leading provider of automated employee scheduling software for corrections and public safety facilities, today announced that they will host a live webinar featuring guest speaker Sheriff Gary Raney, ADA County Idaho, on the topic of understanding and reducing complacency in jails.
The live webcast “Is Complacency Killing Your Jail?” will be held on March 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM CST. To register for the live event or to receive a link to the archived event, please visit: http://www.emlogis.com/events/webinar-is-complacency-killing-your-jail/.
A complacent jail is an unsafe jail. However, many correctional facilities do not realize the ways that complacency can exist and what the real effects of complacency can be. To highlight this issue, EmLogis is offering a live webinar with guest speaker Sheriff Gary Raney to help correctional facilities gain more understanding about how to understand, find, and prevent complacency. For this live web event, Sheriff Gary Raney has created a web version of his live presentations from corrections conferences including the American Corrections Association (ACA) Conference 2014 and the upcoming American Jail Association (AJA) Conference 2014 to be held in Dallas, April 27 – 30, 2014.
Attendees to this live web event will gain a better understanding of how complacency is alive in their correctional operations. Specifically, Sheriff Raney will discuss:
- The root causes of complacent behavior and the curse it has on jail operations
- The pitfalls of complacency
- Real-life tragic correctional examples that are directly related to complacency
- An analysis of complacency and its contributing factors in jail operations and how to avoid a tragedy
- How to confront the complacent behavior of personal actions and those working in a jail
