When these three groups hit the road for this massive tour, they will begin at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT on June 12th and will conclude at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, VT on August 23rd. In between, they will make stops at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, NY; Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, NC; Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ; Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in Boston, MA; and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.
The opening act for the tour is most known for their breakout single in 2006, “Hey There Delilah,” which reached No. 1 on the singles charts in the U.S. and Canada and also charted in other countries. The single was certified platinum three times by the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than three million copies. They have also released two other platinum singles including “1, 2, 3, 4,” and “Rhythm of Love.” The group formed in Chicago, Ill. in 1997 and has been honored with numerous awards and nominations.
Daughtry is an American rock group that was formed by the former American Idol contestant, Chris Daughtry. The group released their debut album in 2006 titled Daughtry. The album was a commercial success around the world, selling close to five million copies in the U.S. and more than seven million copies worldwide. It reached the top of the Billboard 200 album charts, as did their sophomore release, Leave This Town. This album has sold more than a million copies in the United States. The group has released several popular singles since forming including “It’s Not Over,” “Over You,” “Home,” “No Surprise,” and “Life After You.”
The Goo Goo Dolls are a group that has survived in the music business for a long time. They had their first No. 1 single in 1995 with “Name.” The single reached the top of the U.S. Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks and U.S. Alternative Tracks charts. The group, which originally formed in 1986, is still releasing new music that their fans love, but they will most be known for their only platinum single, “Iris.” The song was originally recorded for the City of Angels soundtrack and would then be included in their album, Dizzy Up the Girl.
