Teleworkology Announces a New Website Service for Teleworkers and Telecommuters

Teleworkology launches a website for the growing teleworker and telecommuter community enabling them to find a place to telework outside of their home and helping them learn how to be a more effective teleworker.

We noticed a lack of dedicated websites and services for the teleworking community, so we created Teleworkology to help fill this growing need.

Teleworkology, a nationwide website service for teleworkers, is now available and serving all major metro areas across the U.S.

According to recent studies, 2.6% of the U.S. employee workforce (3.3 million people) consider home their primary place of work. Further, those who telecommute at least one day a month are estimated at 25 million. It is also estimated that 80% of all workers would like to work from home at least part-time if their companies would allow it.

Teleworkology was created specifically for those who are and those who desire to be teleworkers and telecommuters. It provides a way for them to find that "third place" between their office and their home to telework. And it serves over 40 metro areas across the country, allowing business travelers to find a place to work when traveling abroad. It also allows the teleworking community to rate and review their favorite places to work for others to discover.

"There are so many great places to work outside of your home and in your city," says Founder and Teleworkologist Mark Mavromatis. "Services like Google and Yelp may help you find a place, but no other site helps teleworkers find the best places in their city for teleworking. Places can be rated and reviewed by the teleworking community based on things they care about, like how much power is around, how crowded or noisy it is, and how comfortable it is for teleworking."

Teleworkology is also a great source for learning how to be a better teleworker by providing tips and articles geared towards things like entrepreneurship, how to increase productivity while working independently, and how to take the right steps towards becoming a teleworker.

"The number of telecommuters increased nearly 80% from 2005 to 2012," says Mavromatis. "We noticed a lack of dedicated websites and services for the teleworking community, so we created Teleworkology to help fill this growing need."

Teleworkology is expecting to be the #1 resource on the Internet for teleworkers, and their passion is to serve the admired and envied teleworker community.
