Renowned hotelier Alex Polizzi is back on her quest to transform some of Britain’s most desperate hotels and B&Bs into successful businesses. As the granddaughter of Lord Forte and the niece of Sir Rocco Forte, Alex has all the industry experience and authority needed to turn flagging hotels into profitable ventures.

Alex visits The Green Man Pub and Hotel in Wembley but refuses to stay the night. Her visit may be shorter than usual but she manages to prove that there is more than one way to run a failing business.

Manager Mel Preedy bought the business from the brewery in 2006 and describes the nine-bedroom hotel as old-fashioned and traditional.

The establishment is just a stone’s throw away from one of the country’s biggest draws to sports fans, but despite Mel’s love for the business, The Green Man is struggling. The bedrooms are making minimal profit, forcing Men to reply on the pub to support the hotel.

Despite its prime location near the stadium, bad reviews are putting off guests and occupancy rates could be a whole lot better. Can Alex tackle the opposition and take this hotel to the next league, or is The Green Man ready for relegation?

The production company approached Better Bathrooms due to their competitive prices and unbeatable quality, meaning their budget could stretch further and help the hotel. As the UK’s largest independent retailer of bathrooms and tiles, Better Bathrooms sources direct from the supplier, helping pass the very best savings onto their customers, without sacrificing on quality, a factor hugely sought after when renovating a home on a budget.
