WV's American Mountain Theater Opens Eighth Season on April 4
Elkins, WV (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- The American Mountain Theater’s eighth season promises to bring an uplifting feeling to people who visit the theater by delivering the absolute best in entertainment, with amazing music and great comedy routines, like you might find in Branson, MO, Pigeon Forge, TN, or Myrtle Beach, SC.
In the past seven years, AMT’s exceptionally talented cast has brought home a total of four awards from the West Virginia Division of Tourism, and in 2013 AMT was awarded the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for having a 5-star average rating on their site, making AMT one of the top-performing 10% of businesses worldwide on Trip Advisor.
An entirely new Premier 2-Hour Show production will greet new and repeat customers alike when the cast begins on April 4th, and the performances will run through the end of October. Producer and co-owner, Beverly Sexton said, “Putting a new show together is more challenging and more exciting every year as we all grow and stretch our abilities, but we want to go beyond just entertaining people to fully entertaining them.”
AMT features live music & comedy variety shows that are “guaranteed to entertain guests of all ages while remaining entirely family-friendly.” “Many people think that we are a country music show,” said Meggan Sexton, Vice President of Operations, “and that couldn't be further from the truth. We do some country music, but the reality is that this is a variety show, and we strive to entertain, no matter your musical tastes.” The cast, which is renowned for their musical versatility, performs everything from Southern Gospel, to swing, to pop and rock classics. “If the question is what do John Denver, James Taylor, Buck Owens, and the Brian Setzer Orchestra have in common? The answer is AMT’s 2014 show,” said Sexton.
AMT also offers a variety of vacation packages, from a “date-night” dinner and a show package, to exciting excursions that can fill a long weekend with scenic train rides, unique local dining, and comfortable lodging.
Performances are every Friday and Saturday night in April, with the schedule increasing as they move through the season. Visit http://www.americanmountaintheater.com or call the box office at 1-800-943-3670 for the full schedule and to purchase tickets or get vacation package information.
