Grinnell Mutual Receives ‘A’ Rating from A.M. Best for 23 Consecutive Years
Grinnell, IA (PRWEB) March 20, 2014 -- Grinnell Mutual’s ‘A’ (Excellent) rating for financial strength was recently reaffirmed by A.M. Best, the insurance industry’s premier rating organization. The ‘A’ rating, combined with a stable outlook for the future, applies to both Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company and Grinnell Select Insurance (GSI). Grinnell Mutual has earned an ‘A’ rating from A.M. Best since 1991.
“A.M. Best is the gold standard of the property-casualty insurance industry as to the financial stability of an operation. Maintaining this rating is very important to us and it reflects that our policyholders are insured and reinsured by a very strong, financially-sound company,” said President and CEO Larry Jansen.
According to A.M. Best, “The ratings and outlooks reflect Grinnell Mutual’s strong risk-adjusted capitalization, modest five-year operating performance, focused operating strategy, and well-established market position as a leading reinsurer of farm mutuals in the Midwestern United States.”
