The new executive hires come as part of TabbedOut’s expansion from its launch in Austin, Texas, to its expansion into the New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Chicago markets.
A 20 year industry veteran, Zirkel brings deep payments expertise and relationships with merchant acquirers, card issuers and distribution partners to TabbedOut. Formerly Vice President of Innovation, Mobile & Advanced Solutions, Zirkel helped launch many successful partnerships between First Data and industry leading mobile payment, loyalty and marketing organizations.
Horowitz, a media and technology entrepreneur, comes to TabbedOut with more than 20 years of experience in building consumer brands, structuring high-impact strategic partnerships, and technology acquisitions. Formerly CEO of BlackBook Media and Vibe Media leading up to their sales, Horowitz was responsible for transitioning traditional media brands into the digital world. Prior to the media endeavors, Horowitz spent 12 years building technology business including two successful IPOs and four sales to public companies.
Zirkel and Horowitz will report to Alex Broeker, Chief Executive Officer TabbedOut.
