Bridgton, ME (PRWEB) March 20, 2014 -- With March coming in like a lion, Shawnee Peak is celebrating the beginning of Spring with a legendary spring party: lots of soft snow, live entertainment, a sumptuous BBQ and lounging on the Blizzard's Pub party deck, catching rays and enjoying the weather. The mountain is 100% open with deep snow all over so, the the skiing will be fantastic.
There is no better way to welcome Spring than Shawnee Peaks’ 30th annual Spring Fling weekend. The skiing, the sunshine, the people and the party make it something to look forward to all year long! The Slush Cup (starts at 1:30pm) pits skiers and snowboarders against a 100-foot-long man-made pond of ice cold water. Skim along as far as you can go, before falling victim to the laws of gravity. Register (for free) in the base lodge from 11am-11:30am. Kids under 18 MUST have a parent or guardian accompany them to sign the liability paperwork.
Here is a breakdown of the weekend schedule:
11am-11:30am - Slush Cup registration near the cafeteria in the Base Lodge (outside if the weather's nice!), and it’s free! Kids under 18 MUST have a parent or guardian accompany them to sign the liability paperwork.
11:30am-1pm - BBQ next to the Great Room. Burgers, dogs and all the fixings.
1:30pm Slush Cup begins.
On top of all this, the LL Bean Bootmobile will travel over from Freeport, and will be here from 11am-3pm with all sorts of on-snow games and tons of prizes.
