The Westin Copley Place invites hotel guests, locals, and associates to experience wellness with free, open-to-the-public events hosted by RunWestin concierge Chris Heuisler and instructors from Back Bay Yoga during Westin's global well-being launch.
On March 20, 2014, in recognition of International Happiness & Well-Being Day and the Spring Equinox, Westin hotels around the world will kick off the Westin Well-Being Movement, a worldwide initiative dedicated to opening the hearts, minds, eyes, and ears of guests and hotel associates. To celebrate, Westin hotels around the world will open their doors for a well-being open house, where guests, associates and consumers can experience the brand’s signature programs. For the next week nearly 200 hotels and resorts will hold wellness events and programs open to the public including scenic guided 5K runs, Heavenly Spa mini-appointments, SuperfoodsRx Juice Bars, group yoga sessions and more. To celebrate the launch of the Movement locally in Boston, The Westin Copley Place will invite the public to take part the first events in a series of on-going activities that represent the Westin’s six pillars of wellness: Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well, and Play Well. The activities on March 20th include:
- MOVE WELL: At 6:15 a.m., RunWestin concierge Chris Heuisler led a group of employees, guests and locals for a morning run and then the group enjoyed fresh juice and SuperFood refreshments during a nutrition talk on tips for healthy eating.
- FEEL WELL: At 5:30 p.m., gather in the hotel’s Gloucester/Newbury room your strengthen mind and body with a beginner yoga class led by an experienced instructor Jess Emilfarb from Back Bay Yoga.
