New Genealogy Class Offered at Round Rock Public Library
Round Rock, Texas (PRWEB) March 21, 2014 -- The Round Rock Public Library is now offering an “Introduction to Genealogy” class on the 2nd Monday of each month, from 9:30 a.m.-noon. The class will be taught by Jacquie Wilson, the Library’s Genealogy Advisor. The next class is scheduled for Monday, April 14.
"Visitors come from all over Central Texas to access our genealogy resources,” says Wilson. “The breadth and quality of our collection is widely acknowledged. With this new class, I hope to show how easy it is to pursue genealogy at the Round Rock Public Library."
Although intended for beginners, more experienced researchers may also find the information useful. Basic genealogy research techniques will be taught. Students will also learn about the resources available at the Round Rock Public Library, such as online databases, collections of microfilm and books. The Library houses the collection of the Williamson County Genealogical Society.
