April is Autism Awareness Month, and online parking reservation service Global Airport Parking Inc. is continuing its partnership with Autism Speaks to promote awareness and raise money for the non-profit foundation. Spreading awareness and funding research, Autism Speaks, founded in 2005 is the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization.

Light It Up Blue is an international campaign spearheaded by Autism Speaks to promote awareness on April 2, World Autism Awareness Day. Across the world blue lights will adorn iconic landmarks, stadiums, skyscrapers, bridges, retail stores, and buildings along with hundreds of thousands of homes and communities to shine a bright light on autism. “[Light It Up Blue] celebrates the unique talents and skills of persons with autism and is a day when individuals with autism are warmly welcomed and embraced in community events around the globe.”
Throughout April, every customer who makes a parking reservation on GlobalAirportParking.com will be given the opportunity to round up their total to the nearest dollar, donating the difference directly to Autism Speaks. Global Airport Parking sends a weekly newsletter to over 400,000 subscribers and in April the newsletter will be letting everyone know about Autism Awareness Month, Global’s partnership with Autism Speaks through the Round-Up-The-Change program, as well as giving the community a way to donate directly to Autism Speaks whether they are making parking reservations or not. The Global Airport Parking Facebook page and other social media pages will be modified in support of Light It Up Blue as well. In addition, Global will be reaching out to over 400 partners nationwide to garner support of Light It Up Blue, Autism Awareness Month, and Autism Speaks.
