Torrance, California (PRWEB) March 25, 2014
Kids in Motion Pediatric Therapy is pleased to announce their relocation to their new state of the art clinic. Located in Torrance, California, the new facility is a custom designed family and child-inspired 6,200 square foot center.
The multi-disciplinary Kids in Motion Pediatric therapy team consists of more than 20 Pediatric physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. The facility boasts 5 private speech and occupational therapy treatment rooms, a neuro-rehab gym with 2 specialty treadmills, a Lite Gait body weight-supported gait training system, 2 large custom sensory-motor gyms complete with zip lines, suspension equipment, 3 double-decker play lofts, a trampoline, ball pit, multiple rock climbing walls and a smaller gym for infants and young toddlers. Each treatment space contains therapeutic and play-based supplies and materials to optimize a child’s progress.
“It was my dream to create a supportive, warm and inviting space where children of all ability levels would love to come and play,” said Marcie Rhee, DPT, PCS and clinic owner.“ At Kids in Motion, all judgment is left at the door. The space is a safe place for children and their caregivers to learn new skills and grow together as a family under the direction of a Pediatric specialist. It is a true joy to see my dream become a reality each and every day in our new clinic, and I look forward to connecting with many more families in our community in a meaningful way for years to come.”
The facility is contained within a circular building providing natural light from the floor to the ceiling. This, combined with the warm color scheme, provides a calm, happy, playful space for children of all abilities and their families. The suite has been custom designed to minimize distraction by preventing cross traffic though any given treatment space, allowing each child to optimally participate in the full duration of each treatment session.
The administrative staff has strong expertise in the verification of insurance benefits and will assist their clients in accessing health insurance benefits, efficiently handling the process from verification to claims submission, to filing an appeal should a carrier deny a medically necessary service in error. The practice has been working with private health insurance for over 5 years, making it a valuable asset for the families served.
Kids in Motion is a certified Non-public Agency (NPA) with the California Department of Education and currently provides educationally necessary assessments and therapy services in the California school districts of Torrance, Lawndale and Redondo Beach. In addition, early intervention physical, occupational and speech therapy services are provided at the center via Kids in Motion’s contract with Harbor Regional Center, a not for profit private corporation contracting with the State of California for the provision of services to children under the age of three with developmental delays.
