practice management software is not optional, but a requirement.
Cary, NC (PRWEB) March 25, 2014
Thomas Rowe, an attorney and legal technology expert with OTB Consulting, will make two presentations to the ABA TECHSHOW in Chicago about how law firms can profit from proper use of technology.
“We believe that legal practice management software is not optional, but a requirement in this tight economy if a firm wants to grow efficiently and profitably,” Rowe said. “I’m looking forward to sharing our experience and knowledge with attendees and discussing technology issues, options and new products that can benefit them.”
The ABA TECHSHOW takes place from March 27-29. The legal technology conference brings together attorneys and legal technology consultants to discuss and demonstrate the newest products available to law firms. It is sponsored by the American Bar Association.
Rowe is a founder and managing director of OTB Consulting, a technology company based in Cary, North Carolina. He is the chief architect of BKexpress® -- the leading practice management software designed specifically for consumer bankruptcy attorneys and other practice area specific templates.
Rowe will present “Legal Practice Management Software: From Agony to Ecstasy” on the first morning of the conference. His presentation will provide a primer on legal practice management software, the importance of having a robust practice management system, the differences in premise vs cloud options and why it is an investment not an expense for today’s law firm.
Rowe will also be a panelist for a Friday afternoon session entitled, “You’ve Gone Paperless: What Now? Document Management & Scanning in 2014”. The session will help law firm stakeholders review the process of going paperless along with recent paperless methodologies and technological advancements.
Rowe is one of the country’s top experts in law office practice management systems and workflow automation. He frequently speaks to major legal technology symposiums and publishes in leading legal technology journals. The 2014 conference will be his fourth time to serve as faculty at the ABA TECHSHOW.
The ABA TECHSHOW conference will feature more than 50 educational sessions about how technology is changing the practice of law. The concurrent expo will present more than 100 leading legal practice technology vendors.
