Becker's Hospital Review Names 100 Hospital and Health System CMOs to Know
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 21, 2014 -- Becker's Hospital Review has published its "100 Hospital and Health System CMOs to Know," a list based on individuals' experience in overseeing medical and quality affairs at their respective organizations.
With clinical care quality factoring heavily into reimbursements and other sensitive financial issues, CMOs are more important now than ever in ensuring their hospitals provide the best care and remain viable.
Leaders included on the list have demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in safety and quality and have contributed to excellence at their respective institutions.
Individuals were selected for excellence in their hospital or health system's performance or for excellence in leadership. Nominations were also accepted.
On the list, there are several titles present besides "CMO." All non-CMOs serve in CMO-equivalent positions at their respective institutions.
