Christian “The Beast” Aguilera Returns for Another BAMMA Badbeat Event
Tustin, CA (PRWEB) March 21, 2014 -- Total MMA Studio’s own Christian “The Beast” Aguilera will be participating in one of BAMMA’s biggest red carpet events. Coming off a win in his first professional fight, “The Beast” will be back in action fighting with some of the most talented professional MMA fighters in the area. Budweiser’s Badbeat 12, at renowned Commerce Casino in Commerce California, will be a night to remember.
Born and raised in Whittier, CA, Aguilera has been fighting for three and a half years, starting his career in late 2010. Originally going to school to play hockey, he returned home and wanted to stay in prime shape and ultimately found fighting and training as his outlet. Three years later, he has worked to obtain an impressive fighting resume with an Amateur record of (10-4) and Professional record of (1-0). Aside from his accolades as a fighter, he is one of Total MMA’s elite trainers and coaches.
This isn’t Aguilera’s first time at one of BAMMA’s Badbeat events. Last year, he fought Blake Belshe at Badbeat 11 and beat him in a Split Decision earning him his first professional win. Next Saturday for Badbeat 12, Aguilera will face Korey Kelley from King’s MMA in Huntington Beach, Calif. Kelley is (0-2) in professional fights, and Aguilera is optimistic about the outcome. He feels that they match up well, but is confident that his strengths will be beneficial to counter Kelley’s weaknesses. He’s been training since his last fight in October of 2013, and states, “We put together a pretty good game plan for this guy so we’ve been working and strengthening up the parts where I’m already strong and then filling in the holes where we need to."
Aguilera’s dedication and passion to grow as a fighter has driven his many successes. He described what it means to be a fighter and he believes that if “you’re going to be a fighter you gotta be game all of the time, you gotta be all in, you gotta be the complete package and completely dedicated to it.” Aguilera has proved his philosophy with a notable career total of 11 wins. When asked what sets him apart from the rest of the competition he expressed, “I train a lot harder than most of the guys who fight. The level of training we get and the level of competition we have in the gym every day sets us apart from most other places.” Co-owner of Total MMA studios Juliano Prado commented on Christian’s hard work in the gym and described him in the following way: “Christian is a Beast, that's a good way to describe him. I'm very excited to watch him grow into his potential as a fighter.”
After next week’s fight, “The Beast” is looking to get back into another fight or MMA shows in the near future. Until then, see Christian in action next Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Commerce Casino.
