National Prep Invites 6th and 7th Grade Parents to Town Hall Meeting Scheduled for March 26th to Rally Support for New Proposed Charter High School in Camden
Camden, New Jersey (PRWEB) March 24, 2014 -- Education leaders championing a new, proposed public charter high school in Camden, N.J. will host a town hall meeting to obtain input from parents in the community on Wednesday, March 26th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at The Water Tower located in the Whitman Park Section at Louis and Everett Streets in Camden.
The proposed public charter high school, National Prep New Jersey, will be modeled after the highly successful National Prep DC, in Washington, DC. The school will offer an interdisciplinary curriculum leading to an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, provide a rigorous 9th -12th grade, standards-based college preparatory curriculum. National Prep New Jersey is seeking to maximize Camden students’ academic achievement, prepare them to be self-directed, life-long learners equipped to be engaged as a 21st century citizen of their school, community, country and the world.
The free town hall event will give parents of 6th and 7th graders the opportunity to learn about the proposed school’s mission, education model and vision for ensuring that students are nurtured in the classroom and adequately prepared for college. The meeting will also highlight the school’s modeled curriculum, which has been proven to turn under-performing students into honor roll students and garner a 100 percent high school graduation rate and college acceptance track record.
