Liberty Coach Introduces First-ever Remote Monitoring Link for Lithium-ion Battery Systems
North Chicago, IL and Stuart, IL (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- In a move that reaffirms their technological leadership in Prevost luxury motorcoach conversions, Liberty Coach announced the introduction of a new communication link that facilitates monitoring of a coach’s lithium ion battery systems from both inside and outside the vehicle.
The new link allows motorcoach owners to monitor the performance of individual batteries or the entire battery system. Users can call up key performance metrics, including voltage, charge rate, and percent of charge remaining, at the touch of a button.
Moreover, they can get those readings anytime they want, anywhere they happen to be – whether that’s across the parking lot or across the country. That’s because the new link is compatible with both the coach’s onboard Crestron wireless control system and Liberty i-Link™, the company’s extraordinarily powerful proprietary communications system that allows seamless remote control via an iPad, iPhone, or Android devices.
“We’re excited to be able to offer this exclusive feature to Liberty Coach buyers,” company V.P. and co-owner Frank Konigseder said of the new communications link, believed to be yet another industry first. “I believe it’s an important step in the evolution of lithium ion battery systems, which we pioneered beginning in 2010.”

The new battery monitoring made its debut on Liberty Coach No. 776, a 2015 Elegant Lady Fairfax Double Slide Edition. Konigseder added that new coaches as far back as No. 765 can be retrofitted with the feature, which will be standard equipment on all new Liberty Coach models going forward.
