Vajra Heads Into the Studio to Begin Pre-Production for Their Second Album
New York, New York (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- NYC based art / progressive rock ensemble, Vajra, heads into the studio to begin pre-production of their sophmore album. The band has been tinkering with ideas since the release of their debut album 'Pleroma', and are now ready to flesh out the skeletons. Vajra's founder and vocalist states, "We are stretching boundaries with this second album, and we are exploring the extremes a bit more. We are digging deeper into ourselves, which is reflected in the music."
The band is quickly generating a buzz after selling-out their first show in November, 2011 (at The Bowery Electric in NYC). Virgin America selected Vajra’s single “Erode The Will” for their In-Flight Entertainment Series in December, 2011, and the single was also selected for the Red Gorilla SXSW 2012 Compilation and the Go-Girls Music Fest 2012 Compilation. The Band was selected as a Supercuts Rock The Cut Ambassador, and also signed licensing deals with Viacom, The Discovery Network, Showtime and Bravo.
Vajra’s music is hauntingly dark and hypnotic weaving Eastern Indian themes with melodic, progressive rock creating foreboding and mysterious lullabies.
Pleroma was released on the Summer Solstice, 2012 to a host of favorable reviews from around the globe, and fans are clamoring for more of Vajra's tenebrous music. The band will be touring the US this summer, and dates will be released soon.
