Healthcare Imaging Pioneer and Humanitarian Joins NuView Life Sciences Board
Park City, UT (PRWEB) March 31, 2014 -- The Board of Directors of NuView Life Sciences today announced the appointment of Michael Nobel, PhD. as an independent director of the firm, effective immediately. Dr. Nobel’s appointment expands the Board to five directors, four of whom are independent directors. Dr. Nobel will be a member of the firm’s Corporate Governance, Nominating and Public Responsibilities committees.

Commercially, he participated in the introduction of magnetic resonance imaging in 1980 and remained in the diagnostic imaging sector for 26 years. Between 1991 and 2007 he was executive chairman of a group of companies that performed diagnostic imaging services in Sweden. Today, he is chairman or board member of six international companies in diagnostics, treatment and information systems in the field of medicine.
Dr. Nobel represented the Nobel family as vice chairman and subsequent chairman of its board of directors. He is founder and chairman of the Nobel Sustainable Trust Foundation in Switzerland.
He is chairman or board member of seven non-for-profit organizations in the field of youth education and development and peace and conflict resolution. In the academic field Dr. Nobel was visiting professor at the Frontier Research Institute at the Tokyo Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2012. He is currently guest professor at Seisa University in Japan and regularly gives keynote lectures on various subjects at international academic conferences around the world.
Michael Nobel sits on three international prize committees. He has received many international citations and awards for his work in the fields of medicine and conflict resolution. These include an honorary doctorate from Soka University in Japan and an honorary professorship from the National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan. Rotary Clubs in Karlskoga, Sweden and Miami, Florida have appointed him honorary member and Rotary International has conferred on him the Paul Harris Fellowship Award.
