Ideas Collide’s Team Pitches In as Volunteers for “Fast Pitch” Event

Social Venture Partners Arizona (SVPAZ) 2014 has invited Ideas Collide team to act as mentors for its “Fast Pitch” event.

The “Fast Pitch” mentoring program is sponsored by Social Venture Partners Arizona, whose partners take an entrepreneurial approach to philanthropy and donate their time and talents as well as funds to non-profit organizations focusing on social philanthropy in the Valley. Scott Brown and Claudia Kunkel, of Ideas Collide Marketing Communications, will participate as mentors to early-stage nonprofit organizations that influence social change in the Valley.

An important part of the Ideas Collide culture is to remain committed to community outreach programs, supporting the Valley arts and numerous initiatives around the Phoenix area. Many team members volunteer work hours and personal time as part of the commitment to giving back.

“It’s always fulfilling to help clients achieve results at an agency,” said Ideas Collide Managing Account Director Scott Brown. “But I also find helping non-profits and making an impact in our community even more rewarding.”

“I feel honored to mentor one of these deserving non-profit organizations,” said Claudia Kunkel, Project Manager at Ideas Collide. “It has been a very rewarding experience to participate in the learning workshops, to collaborate with my assigned non-profit and to tell their story through a finely-tuned pitch.”

Twenty semi-finalist organizations receive the support of a two month-long training and mentoring program that connects nonprofit organizations with the business community and attracts the interest of potential investors.

The “Fast Pitch” mentoring program will conclude at 6:00 p.m. on March 26, 2014 at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Eight finalists will have three minutes to pitch a panel of judges and an audience of fellow mentors and community leaders.
