We think businesspeople as well as educators will come to regard the WPS-HD not just as convenience, but as an essential tool for group presentations, lessons, lectures and more.

Calling for an end to the "hassles, logistical nightmares and extra setup time that come with messy wires," IPEVO has just released the High-Definition Wireless Presentation System, or WPS-HD. This device, designed for both education and business, allows the user to wirelessly project up to four PCs and Macs, with audio, at high-definition clarity of up to 720p. WPS-HD can be purchased at a price of $199 and is now available from the IPEVO Online Store at http://www.ipevo.com.
Because WPS-HD can operate without wires, users benefit from additional freedom and versatility when it comes to their classroom or conference room setups. A projector and screen, a PC or Mac computer, and the WPS-HD are all that's required for a straightforward setup. The WPS-HD connects via Wi-Fi to the computer, and special software is installed from an included USB token to run and administrate the wireless projection. One installation is all that's required for wireless communication from anywhere in the room. A LAN port is also an option in case the user requires or prefers a wired connection.
The desktop contents of up to four computers (PC and/or Mac) can be projected wirelessly at the same time thanks to a 4-in-1 split screen mode, which is ideal for office collaborations and for sharing and comparing students' work, for two examples. WPS-HD's software also includes a browser-based Conference Mode in which a single administrator can control the projection in real time. For example, the administrator could switch from 4-in-1 split screen to full screen and back again. And with a WiFi Access Point Mode, any computer on the existing network can be accessed and projected.
WPS-HD offers smooth video playback of up to 30 frames per second and is compatible with either VGA or HDMI projectors. Audio is only available with HDMI projectors. WPS-HD also features DirectX support for intense graphics applications, such as video games. Data is sent between computers and the WPS-HD using a 128-bit WEP/WPA key for privacy and data integrity. Another useful feature is the presence of two standard USB ports on the front of the device. These can be utilized for a wired or wireless keyboard/mouse combination, such that the administrator can control the WPS-HD remotely. Finally, a wall mount kit is included, giving the user the option to permanently mount the device when space is at a premium.
"Trying to project a single computer desktop, let alone multiple desktops, can be a big struggle without the right equipment," said Royce Hong, CEO and big head of design for IPEVO. "And when you're dealing with wired connections between multiple computers and the projector, it becomes a mess and a headache on top of everything else. The WPS-HD eliminates the need for all the tangled wires while delivering truly useful features like split screen mode and audio transmission. We think businesspeople as well as educators will come to regard the WPS-HD not just as convenience, but as an essential tool for group presentations, lessons, lectures and more."
The WPS-HD High-Definition Wireless Presentation is now available from the IPEVO Online Store at http://www.ipevo.com, alongside IPEVO's numerous other technology products for education and business.
