Lenox Hill Hospital’s Inaugural Designer Showhouse of New York Opens This Spring
NEW YORK (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- Lenox Hill Hospital today announced the inaugural Designer Showhouse of New York, in support of the new Lenox Hill HealthPlex now under construction in Greenwich Village. The Showhouse features top interior designers from the New York metropolitan area who will showcase their design talents and innovative ideas to the public. The Showhouse opens with a Preview Party on Thursday, May 15,and is open to the public from Friday, May 16, to Sunday, June 29. New York Cottages & Gardens will serve as the Design Magazine Media Sponsor and NBC TV’s Open House will serve as broadcast sponsor of the Showhouse, and renowned interior designers Alexa Hampton and Richard Mishaan will serve as co-chairs of the event.
The Designer Showhouse of New York is located on the 55th and 56th floors of The Residences at W New York – Downtown, a luxury condominium development at 123 Washington Street with spectacular views of New York Harbor’s iconic vista.
All precedes from The Designer Showhouse of New York benefit the new Lenox Hill HealthPlex, scheduled to open this June. The Lenox Hill HealthPlex represents a new model of community-based care for West Side residents who have had to travel out of their neighborhoods to access emergency and other critical health care services for the past four years. It will offer health and wellness services with seamless access to 24-hour emergency care and a full range of medical specialists. The complex will be anchored by Manhattan’s first freestanding Emergency Department and future phases will include an imaging center, ambulatory surgery suite, outpatient rehabilitation programs, health and wellness services, and a host of other medical specialties designed to meet the needs of the community.

The Designer Showhouse of New York opens with a Preview Party on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Preview Party tickets are $500 each. The Showhouse is open to the public Friday, May 16, 2014 to Sunday, June 29, 2014. Showhouse hours are Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Mondays). Admission to the Showhouse is $35 and includes a Showhouse Journal. Children under six, strollers and pets are not admitted in the Showhouse.
