Network of Businesses Offers Continuous Improvement Events With Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT)
Rocklin, CA (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- The Continuous Improvement Network (CIN) will offer an executive forum and training with Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) to help Northern California manufacturers, businesses, agencies and organizations increase productivity.
March 26 – Executive Forum on Hoshin Planning will be held 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Café Bernardo, 1000 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95814; the fee is $55. Several local executives will describe how their organizations used Hoshin Planning and Policy Deployment to bridge the gap between strategic planning and strategic execution. During roundtable discussions, participants can discuss their successes, methods and challenges in using Hoshin Planning to transform their internal culture and gain a competitive advantage.
April 9 & 23 – Introduction to 7S Workplace Organization, two all-day training sessions held at Rex Moore Electrical Contractors & Engineers, 6001 Outfall Circle, Sacramento; the fee is $240 Member, $375 Non-Member and $280 Government. Participants will learn how to use simple visual controls to reduce errors and increase efficiency. Organizations can become more productive and sustainable by using the seven principles, used effectively by Lean Enterprises to reduce waste.
June 4, 18 & 24 – Practical Project Management, three all-day sessions in the Sacramento region. This introductory training will teach participants the basic principles of good project management. Learn how to identify project resources, create schedules, produce critical path plans and complete evaluation reports. A class project will enable participants to apply the principles and use the tools introduced in the class. The fee is $360 Member, $560 Non-Member and $420 Government.
