SAE International 2014 World Congress to Feature Three A World In Motion® Competitions
Warrendale, PA (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- The SAE 2014 World Congress will feature three exciting and engaging A World In Motion® (AWIM) competitions. In total, more than 600 students from schools across the United States will participate in a series of engineering competitions.
The AWIM competitions will include:
• AWIM International Motorized Toy Car Competition (3rd Annual) – Sponsored by Honeywell
Tuesday, April 8
9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Hall B (Macomb Hall
The Motorized Toy Challenge is a competition in which students (in Engineering Design Teams of three or four) compete in 15° Ramp and 30° Ramp Climb, speed, and obstacle course events.
• AWIM International Jet Toy Competition (8th Annual) – Sponsored by Johnson Controls, Bosch, Kia, TRW, Pure Michigan and the American Chemistry Council - Plastics Division
Wednesday, April 9
Hall B (Macomb Hall)
9 a.m.-2 p.m.
The AWIM Jet Toy competition features 500+ Elementary age students (in Engineering Design Teams of 4) competing in distance, accuracy, weight carrying and timed events.
• AWIM International Fuel Cell Competition (4th Annual) – Sponsored by GM Foundation
Thursday, April 10
9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Fuel Cell Challenge is a competition in which students (in Engineering Design Teams of three or four) compete in distance, accuracy, weight carrying and speed events.
Hyundai will serve as Host Company for the SAE 2014 World Congress; and Tier One Strategic Partner for the event is Delphi. With a theme of “Creating New Possibilities,” the SAE 2014 World Congress assembles the best talent in the automotive industry; experts, management teams, engineers, and executives alike gather to collaborate and address these current challenges, celebrate evolution and achievement over the last 100+ years, and promote the multitude of opportunities fundamental for a successful future.
