HIPOWER SYSTEMS Personnel Completes Training on New Technology and Testing Guidelines for PSI Heavy Duty Engines
(PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- HIPOWER SYSTEMS, a manufacturer of power-generation and power distribution equipment in the U.S. and Canada, today announced that key HIPOWER personnel have completed a thorough training program at PSI headquarters in Wood Dale, IL. Also attending were representatives from HIPOWER distributors, LarMar Industries and Total Energy Solutions as well as representatives from HIPOWER customers, United Rentals and Red-D-Arc.
The training outlined current gas engine technology, including engine programming software, Global Control Platform (GCP), which provides in-depth access to PSI Heavy Duty engine parameters. The software offers a better understanding of applications, assistance with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and allows for detailed analysis to determine root causes of problems.
In addition to the engine technology and new software, training covered:
• Engine specifications for product range;
• Overview of wiring schematics, sensor configurations, and engine control module (ECM);
• Stationary Engine Fuel Control Systems for NG Small Engines(GM) and Large Engines (Doosan);
• Practical training on engine in Test Cell;
• Plotter function of GCP;
• Fault/diagnostic trouble codes.
