Media Alert: YMCA Promotes Healthy Youth Development and Keeps Teens Safe
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- What: Third Annual YMCA Midnight Madness Basketball Tournament for teens and young adults (Ages 13 – 22)
When: Friday, March 28, 2014 from 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Where: The Johnston YMCA located at 3025 N. Davidson Street in Charlotte, NC 28205
Why: In response to a series of teen deaths within the community, in 2011 the Johnston YMCA established the Midnight Madness Basketball Tournament to raise awareness against teen violence while providing Charlotte youth with a safe, healthy and fun outlet. Participants of the 5-on-5 basketball tournament will have a chance to win prizes and giveaways.
Anticipated attendance is 70-80 teens. The cost is $4. Register at the event. Media welcome. Interviews with teen director and participants will be available.
