Island of Lemurs: Madagascar, a breathtaking new giant screen adventure from Warner Bros. Pictures’, is coming to MOSI’s IMAX® Dome Theatre on Friday, April 4. MOSI’s IMAX DOME Theatre is the only place in the Tampa Bay area that Island of Lemurs: Madagascar is playing.

This spectacular documentary takes viewers on a journey to the remote and wondrous world of Madagascar, which highlights the incredible true story of nature’s greatest explorers, lemurs, is narrated by Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman. Lemurs arrived in Madagascar as castaways millions of years ago and evolved into hundreds of diverse species, but are now highly endangered. Join trailblazing scientist Patricia Wright on her lifelong mission to help these strange and adorable creatures survive in the modern world.

Island of Lemurs: Madagascar re-teams Freeman, who has one of the most distinctive voices in the movie business, with Drew Fellman, who also wrote and produced the 2011 IMAX documentary spectacle Born to Be Wild. David Douglas serves as director of the film, which features trailblazing scientist Patricia Wright, an expert on lemurs and the wildlife of Madagascar.

The IMAX® release of Island of Lemurs: Madagascar will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
