The theme of this years' Greater Western Chapter of Travel and Tourism Research Association was decided through crowd-sourcing both the industry and membership.
The selected them is "Unmasking The Voice of the Consumer". A discussion between researchers and marketers on how to accurately interpret the voice of the consumer through web analytics and long-term research.
The three day conference is an annual gather place where marketers and researchers both from academia and industry meet to discuss ways to improve the impact of tourism research on actionable marketing.
The first keynote speaker will be Senator Al White, Director Colorado office of Tourism who will speak on how good tourism research can change government policy.
Second keynote will be Monique Jacobson, Cabinet Secretary of New Mexico Tourism Department who will speak on "Art & Science: Data-Based Guidance for Creative Strategy & Execution.
Other top speakers and panelists will discuss new concepts in tourism research and marketing.
On the second day of the conference top academic tourism researchers will present papers on a wide range of topics pertaining to the theme of listening to the voice of the consumer through research.
