ElderCounsel Principal Honored by Long Island Foundation
Lido Beach, NY (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- Elder Law and Special Needs Attorney Michael Amoruso of Rye Brook, New York will be honored with the Theresa Award, given annually by The Officers and Directors of the Theresa Alessandra Russo Foundation.
The Theresa Awards recognize the outstanding efforts of individuals who “go above and beyond in helping and advocating for those with special needs.”
The 20th Annual Theresa Awards Dinner will take place on Friday, May 2nd beginning at 7:30 p.m., at the Bridgeview Yacht Club, Island Park, New York. Amoruso will also be presented this Award at the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Annual Conference May 15-17, 2014.
Attorney Amoruso, one of the principals of ElderCounsel, has a special bond with those he serves, as has a severe loss of eye sight and hearing, himself.
Established in 1992, the Theresa Foundation grants funds for arts, music, dance and recreational programs to help children with special needs attain the highest possible level of educational, artistic, emotional, physical, and intellectual achievement possible. The Theresa Foundation was created by attorney Vincent J. Russo and his wife Susan in honor of their daughter, Theresa, who was born severely disabled and passed away when she was just five and half years old.
