SPARC Invites the Pirates of Silicon Harbor to Its Fourth Annual Mobile Application Development Competition
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- SPARC, currently ranked by Inc. 500 as America’s fastest-growing software company, has announced its fourth annual mobile application hackathon will be held on August 23-24, 2014. Hackathon 4: The Pirates of Silicon Harbor will bring together teams of developers from around the country to compete for thousands of dollars in prizes and giveaways, provide an energy-filled environment for spectators, and feature all the beer, caffeine, and food trucks attendees can handle. The two-day event will be held at SPARC’s headquarters on 2387 Clements Ferry Road in Charleston, SC.
Hackathon 4 will give software engineers a chance to show off their mobile app development skills in an engaging and creative setting, and cash and prizes will be awarded to teams who build the best applications. Networking opportunities, vendor presentations, gaming, music, and other fun events and challenges will keep the party going for everyone present. The engaging nature of the competition, coupled with SPARC’s award-winning culture, will create a can’t-miss event for engineers - or spectators, who are also welcome at the event.

The two-day format of Hackathon 3D will give teams a chance to develop and deploy their apps, and also enjoy the other attractions Hackathon 4 has to offer. Saturday, August 23, will see participants choose and idea, code all day, then build and deploy their apps before kicking it at the onsite after party. On Sunday, August 24, participants and spectators will return for app presentations, code camps, guest speakers, exhibitor activities, judging, and prizes.
