Greener Propane Autogas to Be Showcased at DFW-area Clean Air Conference
Irving, TX (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) in partnership with the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) will showcase propane autogas at the upcoming 5th Annual Texas Alternative Energy & Transportation Conference & Expo (AltCar) at the Irving Convention Center on March 28-29, 2014. The expo follows on the heels of the National Propane Engine Fuel Summit, held just one day before.
This two-day AltCar Expo hosted by the DFW Clean Cities Coalition was created to educate fleets and North Texans on cleaner-burning alternative fuel vehicles and equipment. Friday, March 28th is designed for fleets and will feature John Davis from the automotive TV series, MotorWeek as the keynote speaker along with a number of other panels on incentives, alt fuel vehicle options, and success stories. AltCar is open to the public and free on Saturday, March 29th so not just fleets, but also consumers can come learn about the latest green vehicle technology. The expo hall and green ride & drive will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days.
“We’re excited to be able to speak with fleets, landscapers, and the public about the benefits of cleaner-burning propane autogas,” said Jackie Mason, Education & Marketing Director for the Propane Council of Texas. “By choosing propane autogas, many fleets and landscapers can cut their fuel and maintenance costs. Additionally, propane autogas is domestically produced, environmentally friendlier, and easier on your vehicle’s engine.”
The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) is participating in the Texas Alternative Energy & Transportation Conference & Expo as part of its Propane Autogas: Fueling Texas campaign. The public awareness campaign has traveled across the state to educate Texans about the benefits of running vehicles and mowers on clean-burning propane autogas.
