Cambridge, MA (PRWEB) March 27, 2014 -- ETIAM announced today they are releasing a universal content integration system called ETIAM Integrate Solution, or EIS, which allows physicians and healthcare professionals to store and incorporate patient images and multimedia examinations within the healthcare enterprise. The new software solution is designed for physicians and healthcare professionals to acquire, access and share patient images and multimedia content for examinations.
The latest software solution is built upon ETIAM’s years of experience in healthcare connectivity and delivers a comprehensive integration engine for multimedia data produced throughout the healthcare enterprise. Image intensive departments within the medical field have relied on ETIAM Integrate to provide physician, professionals and educators control of patient images, video, sound and documents to share, collaborate, train and utilize the data in seminars and presentations.
EIS is provided via a web-based interface making it possible to access the multimedia files and the associated data produced during medical examinations from any location and from any device. Patient data can be easily imported via USB drive, iPad, shared directories and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) imaging systems.
The system’s video, images and multimedia information are protected with the same powerful authentication method used throughout healthcare institutions delivering a HIPPA-compliant logging mechanism for patient data. All content is protected using user, group and project-based usernames and passwords. Using open standards, EIS ensures and supports DICOM, HL7 and Integration with the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE). The software is also registered with the FDA.
With the latest ETIAM software, physicians and clinicians can efficiently organize, access and share multimedia content easily during their daily practice. Besides accessing content from laptop or desktop PCs, healthcare professionals can view videos and still images on their portable devices including popular tablets and smartphones such as Apple® iPad® and iPhone®. This allows doctors to easily access cases to show a patient or colleague from any location and at times when it matters most.
As a result, physicians and clinicians can now spend less time manually preparing and searching for documented reference cases allowing them to spend more time with their patients and studying their practice. Above and beyond the ability to conveniently share content within your institution, there are also several optional ETIAM Integrate modules for conferencing and content exchange with other institutions and remote users for clinical rounds, conferences, training and research projects.
